Welcome to A Moment Frozen in Time
Hey, my name is Leigh and I am a sophomore in college. I love my school, my family, my friends, and traditions. Some of my hobbies include knitting, scrap booking, reading, and watching TV. I’ve always been interested in photography, so when I received a Facebook event invite about taking a photo everyday for a year, it peaked my interest.
The challenge is this:
Take a photo, a photo of anything, everyday for a year. Make an album of all the photos with the date. Try not to repeat subject matter. The challenge said to use a disposable or film camera, however for the purposes of a blog, I feel that wouldn’t really allow me to post a picture everyday. I realize why the challenge said to use a film camera though. If you’re taking a picture with film, there are no do-overs. Beautiful and magical pictures can be imperfect.
Because I started this blog, I hope to be kept on track and take a photo everyday with my digital camera. At this moment I am also leaning towards taking a photo with a film camera (if I can find one) as well and then upload those pictures in a gallery as I have the film developed.
Since school starts on August 29, I have decided that somewhere between the 27-29 will be the day that I start taking photos. I think it’s best to start this challenge/experiment off on a specific day. Until then, I’ll keep you posted on how my planning is going and any new developments that arise.
